Language
Chinese and
English are the official
languages.
Hong Kong Radio and newspapers
The South China Morning Post and The Standard are produced daily along with
many Chinese-language dailies. Local and international newspapers are available.
There are two local English-language television channels and cable TV is
widespread and many radio channels.

Smoking
Hong Kong has strict no smoking areas and smoking in a non designated areas will involve a fine of up to $5,000. Smoking is not allowed in shopping malls, indoor areas of restaurants bars, and nightclubs, indoor workplaces, supermarkets, beaches, public pleasure grounds, public lifts, cinemas, theatres, concert halls, inside th airport, public transport and manu other places where there are people. Do check before you light up!

Tipping
Restaurants normally
add a 10%service charge
and a tip is only required
