Hong covers an area
of just under 3,000 square
kilometres, with 1000
square kilometres being
land. Hong Kong Island
is hilly. Most of the
urban area is along the
northern and southern
shores of the harbour.
All the natural forest
has disappeared over
the years and Hong Kong
has limited fauna and
flora.
The population is just
under 7 million and is
one of the world’s
most densely populated
cities with the urban
area having 25,000 people
per sq km in contrast
with the New Territories
where the population
is about 3,000 people
sq km.
